CFAR Assistance with NIH Compliance
We would be grateful if you would kindly cite the "Johns Hopkins University Center for AIDS Research (P30AI094189)" on all publications and presentations resulting from research projects for which you have received funding, services or mentorship through the JHU-CFAR.
If you cite the CFAR on a publication, we would be happy to manage the NIH open access compliance process for you.
-
Log into My NCBI (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/myncbi)
-
Click on “manage my bibliography” (Bottom right corner of My Bibliography box)
-
Click on “Edit settings” for My Bibliography (top middle of the page)
-
Click on “Add a Delegate” (bottom left of page)
Note: The option “Add a delegate” only appears when a Bibliography has been created in My NCBI
-
Enter CFAR@jhmi.edu as the delegate’s e-mail address
-
Send an e-mail to CFAR@jhmi.edu attaching:
-
The final version of the manuscript that you submitted to the journal;
-
The journal to which your article was submitted; and
-
A copy of the copyright transfer agreement from the publisher.
We will take it from there.
-
You will receive an e-mail once the manuscript is submitted, at which point you will have to state the embargo period before your article is released to the public. We will let you know ahead of time the embargo period for your journal.
-
You may log back into My NCBI and go through the steps above and remove the CFAR as a delegate.
