The Center for Infection and Inflammation Imaging Research at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is organizing The Third Annual Seminar on Molecular Imaging of Infectious Diseases on September 23, 2013 at the Owens Auditorium (Johns Hopkins University).  The agenda and the speaker list are attached. This daylong seminar will showcase the latest (preclinical and clinical) developments in the field of Infectious Diseases Imaging and will bring together individuals from multiple scientific disciplines with the goal of promoting the emerging field of Molecular Imaging of Infection and Inflammation.

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to attend this seminar. Attendance is free and a light breakfast, lunch and coffee will be provided. I would therefore appreciate if you could forward this information to your group and others (outside your group) that might be interested. If you have not already done so, please RSVP to Mariah Klunk (mweir1@jhmi.edu) or Pauline Myles (pmyles1@jhmi.edu) is REQUIRED, as we have limited space.

We are also inviting the submissions for poster abstracts (deadline is 5 PM EST on Monday September 16, 2013). Guidelines for submission are available at www.hopkinsmedicine.org/ci3r. A scientific committee will review all the abstracts and the top 1-2 submissions from students will be considered for an honorarium. In addition, one abstract judged to be amongst the top few may also be selected for a platform presentation. Abstracts should be emailed directly to Sanjay K Jain at sjain5@jhmi.edu.

Molecular Imaging for Infectious Diseases and Inflammation is a new and upcoming field. It is therefore an exciting time to get involved. Please do not hesitate to contact us with suggestions or questions.
